Every chorus needs a great director, and at Northwest Harmony Chorus we are fortunate to have one of the best! Not only does she have great experience, she is an amazing person as well!
A Little About Melanie
Melanie has been directing NWH since January 2020 with a bit of a break for a couple years of actual directing!
Melanie has been a Sweet Adeline for 30 years and a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society for 13. She has medaled multiple times and is a two-time Regional Champion Lead with Wink Quartet.
She has been directing for over 15 years – including frontline Director for BHS choruses Puget Sounders and co-directing the Seattle SeaChordsmen.
Melanie is a sought after coach, with choruses and quartets live and on zoom in singing, expression and visual performance, is the house coach for Acappella Soundsations Chorus, sings tenor in the BHS mixed chorus, PDX Voices and sings lead in the BHS mixed quartet Hot Notes.
Melanie is also a voice over artist and widely known emcee. She has two extraordinary sons, one amazing daughter-in-law, 4 grandchickens and a very misunderstood, fluffy guard cat.
